Social Services Children and Social Services Community Well-Being Union Affiliation: CUPE 4705 Inside Unit Hours of Work: 70 hours bi-weekly Shift Work Required: No Range of Pay: Group 6 - $28.02 to $32.94 per hour Main Function: Receive persons in office, answer telephone calls, provide information and direction as required. Under the direct supervision of the the Co-ordinator of Children and Social Services Administration. Respond to general enquiries from clients, the general public and agencies and refer to appropriate contacts. # Perform keyboarding and data entry. # Organize, maintain and keep an inventory of stock forms and other office supplies. # Review case files for retention of materials for archives and destroy outdated material as directed. # Acquaint recent employees and students with the Clerk-Receptionist job functions as required. # Education and Training ~ Ability to demonstrate interpersonal skills in dealing with the public in a courteous and effective manner.





Demonstrate and proven ability related to microcomputer software and administrative systems (e.g. file maintenance, word processing, information input and retrieval). Excellent use of English; verbally and in writing. French verbal and written skills an asset.

Physical capability to operate a vehicle safely, possession of a valid driver’s licence and an acceptable driving record, will be considered an asset.
