Community Support Worker (CSW) – Full-Time & Casual

Residents in Recovery Society (RinR) is seeking compassionate and dependable Community Support Workers for full-time and casual positions at our Healing Center.
About Us
Residents in Recovery Society (RinR) provides residential treatment, supportive living, counselling, case management, recovery programming, and family supports for individuals impacted by substance use and addiction.
The Healing Center is our residential family treatment program where mothers can participate in recovery and treatment while continuing to live with and care for their children. CSWs work directly alongside families to support recovery, parenting, healthy routines, child safety, and everyday residential life.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Community Support Work, Addiction and Support Worker Certificate, Care Aid, Youth Care, or related education; and/or 2+ years of related experience is an asset.
- Experience in addictions, mental health, residential care, family services, or child and youth services is an asset
- Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
- Must be willing to learn, accept feedback, participate in training, and grow professionally
- Where applicable, a minimum of 2 years continuous sobriety is required
- Drivers license and clean drivers abstract
Training considered an asset: Trauma-Informed Care, Indigenous Cultural Awareness/Cultural Safety, addictions and mental health, crisis intervention/de-escalation, suicide prevention, FASD, First Aid/CPR, Naloxone, parenting/family support, and Mental Health First Aid.
Support Mothers in Recovery
Build positive and professional relationships with clients, provide emotional and practical support, encourage participation in recovery, and help clients work toward their individual goals.
Support Parenting & Child Safety
Model positive parenting and assist mothers with feeding, bathing, infant care, bedtime routines, homework, meal preparation, and healthy family routines. Monitor child safety and immediately report concerns through the appropriate chain of command.
Support Daily Residential Life
Help maintain a safe, structured, welcoming home. Support clients with meals, chores, cleaning, routines, and household responsibilities. Staff also participate in general residential cleaning and room preparation following discharge.
Maintain Program Safety & Accountability
Support clients in following Conditions of Residency and program expectations. Complete room checks/searches and drug testing when required, monitor for possible impairment, and respond appropriately to safety concerns and incidents.
Outreach & Transportation
When required, assist clients with appointments, paperwork, community resources, and transportation to programming, childcare, legal, and health-related appointments.
Training & Skilled Growth
CSWs are expected to participate in orientation, supervision, staff meetings, and ongoing training. We value employees who are open to learning, constructive feedback, and continued professional growth.
Schedule
Full-Time: 12-hour shifts, 7 a.m.–7 p.m. and/or 7 p.m.–7 a.m., 4 days on / 4 days off.
Casual: Day, evening, night, and weekend availability. Evening and weekend availability is an asset.
Location & Relocation
This is an on-site position in Lloydminster, Alberta. RinR does not provide relocation assistance, moving expenses, travel expenses, or relocation incentives. Applicants requiring relocation are responsible for their own arrangements and expenses.

Pay: $18.00-$23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12.0 – 40.0 per week
