Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations. Client-Centered Nutrition Care Education and Capacity Building Quality Improvement and Professional Practice Two years of clinical nutrition experience preferred.
Specialized training or demonstrated expertise in the applicable practice area preferred. Bachelor of Science Degree, Human Nutritional Sciences, dietetic or related area from an accredited Canadian university program or the approved equivalent if internationally educated. Graduate of a recognized dietetic internship program or practical training program including Master of Applied (Human) Nutrition programs, which has been accredited by the applicable certifying body required.
Must be a Registered Dietitian or Graduate Dietitian with the College of Dietitians of Manitoba. Membership with the Dietitians of Canada (DC) is preferred.
Cardiopulmonary
Resuscitation (CPR) Training requirements for this position shall be in accordance with the Employer policy. Knowledge of qualified standards, ethics, and regulatory requirements for area of expertise.
Proficient in medical nutrition therapy and evidence-based practice with demonstrated problem solving and critical analysis skills.
Effective planning and time management skills. Knowledgeable in food and nutrient analysis and computerized documentation systems. May be exposed to infectious diseases, blood and bodily fluids, toxic materials, noise, allergens, and physical or emotional stress.
May be required to travel to off-site locations. May be required to work a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends. This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment.
