We are looking for an experienced CNC Machinist / Setup & Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be comfortable setting up, operating, and troubleshooting CNC equipment while producing quality parts to drawing and specification.

This position is well suited for a hands-on machinist who can work independently, understands machining processes, and takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities

- Set up and operate CNC machining equipment according to work instructions, drawings, and specifications.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T;, and machining instructions.
- Select and install appropriate cutting tools, workholding, and fixtures.
- Set tool offsets, work coordinates, and machine parameters.
- Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment.
- Make necessary tool and offset adjustments to maintain part quality and dimensional accuracy.
- Monitor machine operation and identify issues with tooling, programs, materials, or equipment.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and communicate machine or process issues to the appropriate team members.
- Complete setups efficiently and maintain consistent production throughout the run.
- Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety, quality, and production procedures.
- Assist with continuous improvement of machining processes, setups, and production efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience

Required:





- Minimum 2 years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience with CNC setup and operation.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Working knowledge of CNC tooling, feeds and speeds, offsets, and workholding.
- Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and gauges.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.

Preferred:

- Experience with Daewoo/Doosan/DN CNC mills with Fanuc control.
- Experience making program edits at the machine.
- Familiarity with Fanuc controls.
- Experience with inspection equipment and GD&T.;
- Experience working with tight tolerances and a variety of materials.
- CNC Machining trade certification or apprenticeship training.
