John Smeaton
Academy is seeking an enthusiastic and highly organised Librarian to play a key role in supporting our students’ learning and personal development through the effective management of our academy library. Working closely with students and staff, you will create a welcoming and inspiring environment that promotes reading for pleasure, independent learning and academic success. GCSE Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
A passion for reading, literacy and education, with a commitment to inspiring young people to become confident readers. Good ICT skills and the ability to support the effective management of library resources and systems.
Experience of working with young people in an educational setting and supporting their learning and development.
