The position empowers the Construction Specialty Lines Risk Underwriter to deploy capital in accordance with Berkley’s underwriting appetite, continue to build and utilize your analytical and market-facing skills in a differentiated manner to create unique solutions for our broker and client base. • Engineers’ Annual Professional Liability Insurance (A&E;) Project-Specific Professional Liability (PSPL for A&E; and/or CPPI) Project-Specific Wrap Up Liability (WU) The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to build and maintain broker relationships, identify growth opportunities, and drive profitable new business across these specialized product lines. Ensure quality risk selection for new and renewal business submissions Determine applicant’s premium based on projected risk-level using statistical models to maximize underwriting profitability while adhering to underwriting authority letter Cultivate and maintain broker networks and relationships nationally Service all accounts including broker inquiries and bring complaints to underwriting manager.Handle complex policy maintenance items and other mid-term requests.
