Altea's skating instructors are skating enthusiasts who are inspired to share their technical knowledge with their clients in an effective, safe, and progressive style. They have an innate ability to teach skating skills to a wide variety of clients, although primarily work well with children ages 3 – 8 years old. They have communication superpowers as they quickly create rapport with their participants and the participants parents, prescribe appropriate and effective skating solutions to help their clients achieve their goals.

You are a customer oriented, friendly, and outgoing professional who has a serious knack for effectively demonstrating the proper use of equipment, techniques and methods of proper movements while explaining and enforces safety, rules, and regulations. While with clients, you remain focused, ensure proper posture and technique and are enthusiastic. You have a passion for working with and assisting children/youth while maintaining a positive attitude and enthusiasm for the position.

You thrive when helping other achieve their fitness goals You Have The Technical Knowledge: You’ve got the badge to prove your technical knowledge about skating. You have a knack for establishing rapport and building relationships.

You Have Communication Superpowers: You play well with others, and you are a good listener and speaker to help clients understand your direction and recommendations. You’re Tech Savvy: Technology is your friend and you have confidence operating software and a customer relations management database Not every customer is going to be a sale.



You’re Flexible: You’re like Gumby and can remain flexible with working long hours, evening, and weekends.

You’re Independent: You get in the groove and work independently with minimal supervision. You’re Efficient: You’re on the ball and move at a quick pace and have great physical stamina as many of your working hours will be standing, bending, and moving, which requires good physical stamina and fitness. As a Personal Trainer, a typical day might include the following: Confirming tomorrow’s sessions with clients (email, phone, text etc.) Meeting with client to review food journal, sleep habits, progress of fitness (measurements etc.) Conducting personal training sessions, ensuring proper technique, counting reps, journaling all relevant data Updating and maintaining accurate records in customer relations management software Post‑secondary education relating to the health and fitness industry is considered an asset ~ Recognized Personal Training Certification ~ Additional certification relating to fitness, health, and nutrition ~1+ years of experience in a personal training role is advantageous ~ Experience in the health and fitness industry preferred ~ All team members must provide a recent Criminal Background Check prior to commencement of training and/or work.
