General Machinist Position Summary The General
Machinist consistently produces excellent quality parts using correct processes while meeting time standards and minimizing scrap. They assist in initiating cost reductions by exploring different means of material removal whether through tooling or programming techniques. What You'll Be Doing as General Machinist: Receive drawings and material from storage area Read blueprints to determine optimal method of production Obtain correct tooling and set-up machine for production Machine parts according to drawings,
maintaining quality and quantity of parts and inform plant manager of required repairs Maintain close attention to detail while prioritizing workload to meet production demands What to Bring to the Table as General Machinist: Reasonable accommodations may be made to support individualswith disabilities. 3+ years of experience as a General Machinist ~ Ability to safely operate forklift ~ Technical degree in Machining Ability to work independently or under minimal supervision.
