Hitachi Energy Canada is seeking a dynamic Legal Counsel to join their Legal & Integrity team based in Saint-Laurent, Quebec. This role focuses on providing pragmatic, business-oriented legal solutions to support the company's growth, manage commercial risks, and ensure robust corporate governance within the energy innovation sector.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in business or commercial law.
- Licensure: Must be a member in positive standing of the Barreau du Québec.
- Language: Must be bilingual in French and English.
- Skills: Strong proficiency in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, combined with a business-oriented, solution-driven approach.
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Review, draft,
and negotiate commercial agreements with clients.
- Collaborate with internal teams to assess risks and align contract strategies.
- Provide day-to-day legal advice across various business functions.
- Promote corporate governance and manage relationships with external legal counsel.
- Support the resolution of commercial disputes and client issues.
