The Kenaidan Murphy Joint
Venture (KMJV) is supporting a major transit infrastructure project in the Niagara/Hamilton Region. With around 4,000 engineers, professional managers, and skilled operatives internationally, we work together as One Murphy to ensure project success. #Design Coordinator The Design Coordinator is responsible for working closely with design consultants, technical advisors,
and construction teams to ensure seamless coordination across all design and engineering disciplines.
Support the coordination of multidisciplinary design inputs for civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical systems. Assist with tracking design submissions and approvals in accordance with project schedules. Monitor and manage Requests for Information (RFIs), design changes, and interface issues.
Ensure integration of design deliverables with construction methodologies, staging, and sequencing plans. Collaborate with environmental, geotechnical, utilities, and permitting teams to ensure design inputs reflect field conditions and constraints. Help prepare and maintain design documentation, reports, logs, and compliance records.
Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field. ~3–5 years of experience in design coordination, engineering support, or technical project roles in infrastructure or transit construction. ~ Familiarity with progressive design-build or P3 delivery models is preferred. ~ Proficiency in design software and collaboration tools. ~ We are an inclusive and equal opportunity employer committed to providing diversity and accommodation for applicants upon request in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
