Facility: Wynyard Hospital - Golden Acres Department: General Medical Nursing Unit Type: Full time regular Shift Information: Days Number of Hours per Rotation: 12 shifts of 11.78 hours per 4 weeks Travel Required: No : The Clinical Leader - Nursing Services (CL-NS), is a clinical practitioner who integrates experience, skills, and knowledge from the nursing theory in the provision of direct client/patient/resident care, assessment of needs, clinical problem solving, and client/patient/resident and staff education. This will be accomplished through the demonstration of leadership, the implementation and application of best practices, the provision of clinical consultation/services and the development of healthy interdependent partnerships with essential stakeholders. The CL-NS is responsible for the establishment and maintenance of high standards of client/patient/resident care and may assume delegated administrative,



clinical and educational responsibilities.

Supervisory experience is an asset Minimum of three (3) years of full-time recent nursing experience Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) Other Education and Training Nursing diploma is acceptable Computer skills Knowledge of quality improvement initiatives Knowledge of the role of the specific clinical area with in the health system Ability to teach staff and patients/residents/clients/families Knowledge of current trends/issues/perspectives of nursing in the clinical area Knowledge in communication techniques and approaches Demonstrated unit-specific clinical competence Knowledge in process of policy and procedure development Knowledge in conflict resolution techniques
