To support this rapid‑growing company, the General Counsel is adding to the legal team and is seeking a Corporate Legal Counsel. You will start by developing a thorough understanding of what the business does by visiting Dexterra's various sites and getting to know the business groups. Your work will then include taking an integral role in reviewing, negotiating and drafting commercial contracts, shareholder / JV agreements and M&A; transactions.

Working closely with business groups, you will also be relied upon to provide training and risk management and compliance advice, as well as to help prepare Dexterra's public company requirements.



This position reports directly to the EVP Legal, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary and is located in Dexterra's head office, in Toronto's west end, with a hybrid arrangement. Target compensation range, including salary and target bonus, is $150,000 - $180,000.

The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of M&A; and corporate experience gained from a top-end firm or corporation. Strong negotiation, drafting and problem‑solving skills will be required in order to succeed in this role. Any experience with M&A;, debt financing and public company reporting (Canadian and/or US) will be seen as an asset.
