Data Engineer – Business Intelligence

We are seeking an experienced and highly collaborative Data Engineer to join a Business Intelligence team supporting foundational Wireline and Sales data platforms within a large telecommunications environment.

This role will focus on transforming complex data into trusted, actionable insights that support business performance, customer acquisition, churn management, sales compensation, marketing initiatives, and cross-selling opportunities.

The ideal candidate is passionate about data, comfortable working through ambiguity, and able to partner effectively with stakeholders across business and technical teams.

What You’ll Do

- Lead the development of new data solutions supporting Wireline business performance and sales compensation.
- Design and develop data products that act as a trusted source of truth for B2B performance reporting and marketing activities.
- Build and maintain scalable data solutions within cloud-based environments.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Marketing, Product, Sales, Business Intelligence, and Data Engineering.
- Translate business questions and requirements into effective data solutions and measurable outcomes.
- Establish confidence and trust in data products across stakeholder groups.
- Provide regular updates on KPIs, programs, data initiatives, and newly developed solutions to leadership and business stakeholders.
- Analyze complex quantitative and qualitative datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and business insights.




- Mentor junior team members and contribute to their technical and professional development.

What You Bring

- 4+ years of experience leading large-scale projects involving multiple stakeholder groups.
- Solid hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases such as Oracle and/or SQL Server.
- Experience working with cloud platforms and cloud-native technologies.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to use data to answer business questions and support informed decision-making.
- Experience defining business outcomes, gathering requirements, and managing stakeholder expectations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to work with incomplete or ambiguous data.
- Experience developing metrics, KPIs, reporting datasets, or other business intelligence solutions.
- Strong planning, performance analysis, and business analysis capabilities.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- A continuous-learning mindset with an interest in technology, telecommunications, data, and customer experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related discipline.

Nice to Have

- Previous experience within the telecommunications industry.
- Experience supporting B2B, sales, or marketing analytics.
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Strong working knowledge of BigQuery.
- Experience developing data products used for enterprise reporting, performance measurement, or marketing analytics.
