At the heart of Pomerleau’s HR strategy, the HR Data Analyst will play a key role in structuring, maintaining, and leveraging HR data to support advanced use cases such as predictive analytics, intelligent automation, and AI-driven initiatives. The HR Data Analyst will work closely with HR, IT/AI, and Data teams. This role combines expertise in HR data, data modeling, and an understanding of AI and business intelligence applications, with a strong focus on delivering business value.
HR Data Transformation Map, document, and structure HR data sources, including SAP SuccessFactors (Employee Central, Compensation, Performance, Succession), Cornerstone (LMS), Avature CRM (Recruitment), and other internal systems. Participate in the transformation of HR data with IT teams toward standardized, AI-ready data models. Identify and address data quality issues (completeness, consistency, duplication) through regular audits.
Define and maintain data models designed for analytics and AI use cases. HR Analytics and Business Intelligence Develop and enhance Power BI dashboards. Support for AI Initiatives Prepare and structure data for AI use cases (e.g., Collaborate with Data and IT teams to integrate HR data into AI environments.
Contribute to the definition of relevant features and variables for AI models. Ensure data traceability and governance for datasets used in advanced analytical and AI models. Participate in establishing data standards (naming conventions, KPI definitions, data dictionaries).
Document data transformations and data flows. Contribute to the implementation of AI governance processes, including data traceability and audit compliance requirements. Stay informed on emerging HR technology and AI trends.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Technology,
or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Data Analyst role, ideally within an HR workplace.
Experience with HR systems such as SAP SuccessFactors, Avature, or similar platforms is a strong asset.
Experience in transformation initiatives involving data, HRIS, or AI is highly desirable.
Experience with APIs or data integration is considered an asset. Knowledge of the construction industry or a multi-site environment is an asset.
Technical Skills
Strong expertise in data modeling (schemas, normalization, analytical logic).
Experience with Power BI, including DAX, data modeling, and visualizations. Advanced proficiency in Excel (Power Query is an asset). Familiarity with modern data environments such as Azure, Microsoft Fabric, and SQL.
Understanding of artificial intelligence and machine learning concepts (feature engineering, datasets, data pipelines), without necessarily being a data science specialist. Excellent command of both French and English, written and spoken. Strong analytical mindset and exceptional attention to detail in complex data environments.
Ability to translate technical concepts into clear and understandable insights for non-technical audiences. Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in a matrix environment with IT, Finance, and HR Operations teams.
