In this dynamic role, you will prepare nutritious meals tailored to young children's dietary needs, serve meals with enthusiasm, and support the daily operations of our daycare center. Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook healthy, age-appropriate meals and snacks for children in accordance with dietary guidelines and safety standards
- Serve food to children in a friendly, effective manner while promoting positive mealtime experiences
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety and handling protocols
- Assist with food inventory management, including ordering supplies and rotating stock to ensure freshness
- Support the daycare team by floating between classrooms as needed, providing assistance with meal service or other duties
- Follow all food industry regulations and safety procedures to ensure a hygienic environment at all times




- Collaborate with staff to accommodate special dietary needs and assist in meal planning when required

Skills

- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service within a childcare, restaurant, or food industry setting
- Strong knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations
- Excellent serving skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Ability to efficiently manage meal preparation tasks while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
- Flexibility to float between roles or classrooms as needed, demonstrating adaptability and teamwork
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and meal preparation techniques suitable for young children
- Passion for working with children and supporting their nutritional well-being
