Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and experienced Deck Supervisor & Senior Instructor to take a leadership role on the deck, oversee safety protocols on the deck and teach lessons in the water as needed. In this dynamic role, you will inspire confidence and enthusiasm among participants while ensuring a safe, engaging environment for all. Your leadership will help foster a positive atmosphere where swimmers of all ages and skill levels can thrive.

Mandatory Requirements

Applicants must meet all of the following qualifications:

- Minimum 3 years of swim instruction experience
- Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor Certification
- Standard First Aid with CPR-C
- Strong understanding of pool safety regulations and procedures
- Confidence teaching swimmers of various ages and skill levels
- Positive, enthusiastic, and professional attitude
- Ability to obtain a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check

Responsibilities

- Supervise swim instructors and overall pool-deck operations
- Ensure lessons are running safely, efficiently, and according to Puddles Swim School standards
- Provide guidance, support, and feedback to instructors
- Monitor swimmer safety and maintain active supervision of the pool




- Assist with swimmer assessments and level placements
- Communicate professionally with parents when needed
- Step into the water to teach or cover classes when required
- Help maintain an organized, qualified, and positive pool environment

Requirements

- Previous deck supervision or aquatic leadership experience
- Strong experience as a swim instructor, preferably at a senior level
- Strong knowledge of swimming techniques, lesson progression, and water safety
- Confident supervising and providing direction to other instructors
- Reliable, responsible, punctual, and professional
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Current aquatic certifications appropriate for the position
