Health is looking for a Diagnostic Neurophysiology Technologist 1 to join the Electroencephalography (EEG) team at Vancouver General Hospital and supporting UBC Hospital in Vancouver, BC. As a Diagnostic Neurophysiology Technologist 1 You Will ~ Performs technical functions related to diagnostic neurophysiology by performing duties such as conducting various tests including electroencephalography (EEG) and evoked potentials (EP), recording measurements, and formulating technical reports for interpretation by medical staff in clinical diagnosis. Successful applicants may be required to complete a Criminal Records Review Check.
As per Ministry of Health policy, all health care workers working in publicly-funded health care facilities are required to report their past receipt of certain vaccines or history of certain infections. Collecting these records will allow for offering of any missing vaccines, and for appropriate actions to be taken in the event of any future exposure to a communicable disease or during outbreaks. Graduation with Diploma of Technology in Electrophysiology from a recognized institution and one (1) year directly related experience, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Technologists (C.Knowledge in conducting various diagnostic tests including EEG and Evoked Potentials.
Skilled in the use of the equipment and techniques appropriate to the assessment of clients. Demonstrated computer literacy with word processing, spreadsheet and database skills. Demonstrated ability to promote Indigenous Cultural Safety.
