Dietary Aide – Sheridan Villa Health Services – Long Term Care Regular Part Time opportunities ~ No Guarantee of Hours - Shifts: 6:00AM-2:00PM, 6:30AM-2:30PM,10:30AM 6:30PM, 3:15PM - 7:15PM, including alternate weekends and holidays Compensation: $27.52 -$29.20 per hour (as per collective agreement) CUPE LOCAL #966 Work Mode: Onsite Sheridan Villa Long Term Care - 2460 Truscott Dr, Mississauga ON L5J 3Z8 The Long Term Care Division requires staff to provide person-centered care to our residents and families following the Butterfly Philosophy of Care. This will ensure high levels of emotional wellbeing and a better quality of life for those living in our homes. Staff are to have emotional intelligence ability to deliver person-centered care in an authentic way that is meaningful to the resident and their family.

We are looking for candidates who are available to work a variety shifts along with every other weekend and holidays. If you enjoy Seniors, have an approved Food Service Worker Certificate , are willing to complete the Food Safety Certification course we would love to have you come join our caring and compassionate team! Prepare food and beverages as per food production schedule and posted menu.

Maintain the kitchen, dining rooms and serveries in a clean and orderly manner which includes cleaning assigned areas on a daily and weekly basis, in addition to the cleaning of equipment Portion and serve meals in the dining rooms and prepare trays for distribution to other areas according to the Dietary Census Provide assistance to the residents in the dining room as necessary Work with the team to enhance the quality of life for residents and promote a pleasurable dining experience Assist with dining room decorations for special and seasonal theme days Obtain food and supplies and assist in the receiving,



distributing, checking and storing of supplies Accept and follow through on directions from the Cook in the performance of job duties in the absence of the Dietary Services Supervisor Maintain good relationships with the residents, staff, volunteers and visitors Assist in the orientation of new dietary staff Participate in relevant aspects of the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) program to evaluate and improve client services Report health and safety hazards, actively participate in eliminating causes of accidents, and perform emergency occupational health and safety measures as required (WHIMS, Infection Control, Fire) Follow policies and procedures as outlined in the Centre’s manuals High School diploma Certification under the Food Service Worker Certificate program at a college of applied arts and technology or a Food Service Worker Program provided by a private career college. Must have a valid Food Safety Certification course (Food Handlers Training) or be willing to complete the Food Safety Certification program within 30 days within hire. Please note, training time and course fees will not be covered by Peel Region.
