Overview Join AtkinsRéalis as a Manager, Fire Safety & Protection Engineering and play a key leadership role in the growth and delivery of fire protection and life safety projects across Eastern Canada. In this strategic position, you will lead a growing team, contribute to complex infrastructure projects, and collaborate with a national and global network of engineering experts to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions to our clients. This position may be based in either our Montréal, Québec City or Ottawa office.

Provide leadership and support the development of priority markets for the Eastern Canada Fire Protection team. Build and maintain solid, long-term relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders. Ensure a seamless transition from project award through project execution.

Plan resources and coordinate priorities in collaboration with project teams. Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing work environment focused on technical excellence. Technical and Project Leadership Act as a technical expert, practice leader, or project manager on complex assignments.

Oversee the design and integration of fire protection and life safety systems. Ensure the quality, compliance, and constructability of technical deliverables.

Operational Performance

Drive project excellence with respect to quality, cost control, schedule performance, and risk management. Contribute to business planning activities and continuous improvement initiatives within the practice.

National Collaboration

Support proposals and projects requiring inter-regional collaboration. Contribute to the growth and visibility of the national Fire Protection Community of Practice. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Building Systems Engineering preferred).

Licensed Professional





Engineer (P.Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant consulting engineering experience in fire protection engineering, life safety, or a related field. Strong knowledge of Canadian fire protection codes and standards, including NFPA, ULC, building codes, and fire codes. Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams, support employee development, and foster a collaborative and high-performance culture.

Experience managing complex multidisciplinary projects while ensuring quality, compliance, and client satisfaction. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both French and English.

This position requires knowledge of a language other than French, namely English, as it involves collaboration with members of the Canadian or global leadership team located outside Québec.
