We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Director of Care to lead and oversee the delivery of exceptional senior care within our community. This pivotal role combines strategic leadership with hands-on management, ensuring that residents receive personalized, high-quality care in a safe and supportive environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in assisted living, nursing home operations, and dementia care, along with proven supervisory and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

- Provide visionary leadership to the care team, promoting best practices in nursing, senior care, and dementia support.
- Oversee daily operations of the care department, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual resident needs, emphasizing dignity, independence, and quality of life.
- Supervise staff recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations to maintain a motivated and skilled team.
- Manage departmental budgets effectively, ensuring optimal resource allocation while maintaining high standards of care.
- Ensure medication administration is conducted accurately and safely according to prescribed protocols.




- Lead efforts in specialized areas such as dementia care to enhance resident engagement and well-being.
- Foster open communication with residents’ families, healthcare providers, and team members to coordinate comprehensive care strategies.

Experience

- Proven experience in assisted living or nursing home environments with a robust understanding of senior care principles.
- Demonstrated supervising experience with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams effectively.
- Extensive knowledge of nursing practices, medication administration, and regulatory compliance within long-term care settings.
- Familiarity with dementia care approaches and best practices for managing complex cognitive conditions.
- Prior experience managing budgets and resource planning within a healthcare or senior living organization is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership skills complemented by excellent communication abilities and a compassionate approach to eldercare.
