Director of Operations | Transportation & Logistics

We're seeking a high-impact Director of Operations to help drive the next stage of growth for a fast-paced third-party logistics company focused on ground transportation throughout North America.

This is more than an operational leadership role. We're looking for a builder. A leader who thrives in a growth environment, develops high-performing teams, creates scalable processes, and delivers exceptional customer experiences while driving profitability.

You'll play a key role in shaping our operational strategy, strengthening carrier partnerships, improving service performance, and ensuring we keep growing without compromising execution.

What You'll Do

- Lead and optimize day-to-day transportation and logistics operations.
- Develop and mentor a high-performing operations team focused on accountability and results.
- Drive continuous improvement across service, efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
- Strengthen carrier relationships and build a scalable transportation network.
- Establish meaningful KPIs, reporting, and operational accountability.
- Partner closely with Sales, Customer Success, and Executive Leadership to support growth objectives.
- Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and operational innovation.
- Serve as a strategic leader, helping shape the organization's future direction.





What We're Looking For

- 10 years of leadership experience in transportation, logistics, freight brokerage, or 3PL operations.
- Strong knowledge of truckload, LTL, cross-border, and managed transportation solutions.
- Proven success leading teams, improving operational performance, and scaling organizations.
- Strong business acumen with experience managing profitability and operational metrics.
- Data-driven decision-maker with a passion for execution and continuous improvement.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
