Join the Summer House Park Activity Team and help create unforgettable summer experiences on the beautiful
Saugeen Bruce Peninsula! At Summer House Park, we offer fun, family-friendly programming that connects guests with nature while promoting environmental stewardship and sustainable outdoor recreation.
We’re looking for an energetic, cheerful, and professional Activity Program Coordinator who loves working with people and inspiring others. You are the CHEERLEADER for our campground — bringing enthusiasm, creativity, and positivity to every activity.
What You’ll Do
- Develop weekly programs for children and adults that include nature-based learning, environmental
awareness, and responsible outdoor recreation
- Facilitate daytime and evening activities in a safe, inclusive, and environmentally responsible way
- Help organize and run special events such as barbeques, tournaments, and carnivals, with an emphasis on
low-waste practices and supporting local partners
- Promote programs throughout the park using word-of-mouth, chalkboards, social media, and posters, while
encouraging digital communication where possible
- Create a weekly information display highlighting local wildlife and flora, seasonal changes, conservation
efforts, and ways guests can help protect the park
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized activity space
What You’ll Bring
- Experience designing and leading activities for children, families, or mixed-age groups, ideally outdoors or in
nature-based settings
- Creative, energetic, and professional with strong communication and guest engagement skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small team, adapting to changing schedules and
weather
- Knowledge of environmental stewardship, outdoor safety, and sustainable recreation; background in
environmental education, recreation, or tourism is an asset
- Experience with event planning and using social media or digital tools to promote programs
- Police background check required; First Aid/CPR certification an asset
Duration/Hours/Wages: Seasonal – June to Labour Day weekend, with opportunity for employment until October. 35hr/wk. Start date versatile,
however successful applicants must be available during the summer months through Labour Day weekend. Starting wage: $16.75-$19.00 based on experience and responsibilities.
