Artemis Gold is a well-financed, growth-oriented gold development company with solid financials aimed at creating shareholder value through the identification, acquisition, and development of gold properties in mining friendly jurisdictions. The Company's current focus is the Blackwater Mine in central British Columbia approximately 160km southwest of Prince George and 450km northeast of Vancouver. The first gold and silver pour at Blackwater was achieved in 2025 and commercial production was declared on May 1, 2025.

Gold trades on TSX-V under the symbol ARTG. Reporting to the Superintendent of Mine Engineering, the Drill and Blast Engineer will be responsible for the design, planning, implementation, and optimization of drilling and blasting activities to facilitate a safe, productive and cost-effective program. This role will work closely with the Short-Range Planner to ensure drill, blast, and mining activities meet the required business goals.
Blackwater Mine Site Schedule: Two (2) Weeks On - Two (2) Weeks Off Rotation Design and Planning ~ Deliver Bench plans to support mid-range planning. ~ Work with geology to incorporate Grade Control Drill plans. Execution and QA/QC Conduct field inspections to verify drilling accuracy (QA/QC) regarding hole depth, collar location, and deviation. Oversee the implementation of blast plans, ensuring correct explosives loading and stemming.
Monitor blast performance and post-blast results (fragmentation analysis, heave, floor conditions Actively support the geotechnical engineer Review all activities for compliance with site safety standards, management plans and the Health, Safety and Reclamation Code for Mines in BC. Participate in risk assessments and root cause analyses when required.
Continuous Improvement
Be an active leader in the Mine to Mill optimization programs. Perform drill and blast consumables analysis and prepare recommendations. Development of vibration monitoring programs and perform wall control analyses.
Develop a blast fragmentation analysis program and provide technical recommendations. Develop and execute a vibration monitoring program. Bachelor's degree in Mine or Civil Engineering required. ~3 to 5 years of mine operations/engineering experience required. ~ Eligible to register as a Professional Engineer-in-Training (E.Proficiency in mine planning software, such as Deswik, and relevant engineering tools. ~ Experienced with open pit survey methods, systems, and processes. ~ Strong user of Microsoft suite of products. ~ Strong project management skills and experience in leading engineering projects. ~ Experience using Power BI and Power Query Experience using VBA scripts to automate excel based work processes Ability to work at a remote camp location on a 2 weeks on/2 weeks off rotation.
Ability to maintain high levels of performance over 12-hour shift. Start up and production experience an asset.
Short Range
Planning experience considered an asset as mine technical coverage will be required.
