Position Overview

We are currently seeking reliable and flexible Early Childhood Assistant (ECA) Staff to support our centre on an as-needed basis. The successful candidate will step into various classrooms to assist with supervision, daily routines, and program activities.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with children and are looking for flexible work within a supportive Early Years environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Support classroom educators in supervising and engaging with children
- Assist with daily routines including transitions, meals, and outdoor play
- Help implement play-based learning activities
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
- Follow centre policies, procedures, and licensing requirements
- Provide positive and nurturing interactions with children at all times
- Work collaboratively with staff across different classrooms as needed





Qualifications

- ECE Diploma or Early Childhood Assistant certification (preferred)
- Experience working with young children in a childcare setting (an asset)
- Current vulnerable sector police check (required)
- Up-to-date immunizations as required by licensing
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)

Pay: $21.00-$22.00 per hour
