Position: Educational Assistant

Status: Part Time Term Certain Appointment– FTE .8214(5hrs & 45 mins daily) The Starting wage for this position is $26.34/hr

Commencement Date: ASAP, to October 30, 2026 or upon return of incumbent with June 24, 2027 being latest possible end date.

Education Assistants work to support our priority students with a variety of learning and/or social, emotional, and behavioural needs, as well as provide general supervision in the school. Applicants should have an inclusive, positive, and supportive attitude; be willing to learn; have a flexible and growth mindset; identify and work with student strengths; and a desire to help each student find a pathway to success. Applicants must be willing to work with any assigned student in a variety of school settings, and able to support students for success in all subject areas.

May need to participate in swimming program.

Qualifications

: 1. Secondary School graduation.





- Previous experience in working with children.
- Ability to organize work effectively.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students and staff.
- Ability to handle and maintain all information with a high degree of confidentiality.
- Equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Familiarity with Indigenous culture is an asset.
- Explicit Criminal Record Check.
