Metalec Sudbury Incorporated, founded in 1983, is Canada’s leading manufacturer of underground mine-duty electrical equipment. We’re hiring 2 General Labourers to join our electrical shop — no experience required. We’ll train you on-site and offer a clear path to apprenticeship as a Wireman/Electrician for those who want to advance. This role is ideal for hands-on people eager to learn the electrical trade.

Requirements

- No prior experience or education required
- Desire to learn, enjoy hands-on work, and be a team player
- Ability to consistently lift 25 kg

Key responsibilities





- Sort electrical components and cut wire
- Operate standard hand tools; drill, tap, and heat-shrink
- Measure and lay out small fabrications from provided designs
- Mount, bolt, and install components within units
- Perform some basic wiring and assist electricians/wiremen as needed
- Wrap and prepare units for shipping; clean work areas and equipment
