The Jansen project in Saskatchewan, Canada is set to become one of the largest potash mines in the world and islocatedapproximately 140kilometerseast of Saskatoon. As the largest investment in Saskatchewan’s history, Jansen is expected to generate approximately 5,500 workforce opportunities during construction and 900 long-term roles. Once fully ramped up, Jansen is expected to have an initial production capacity of approximately 8.5 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa), with the potential to produce 16 to 17 Mtpa in future stages.

BHP offers domestic relocation assistance to support the successful incumbent in transitioning, if required.

We are excited to share that we are recruiting for permanent Surface and Underground positions for Journeyperson Electricians and Instrumentation for our Jansen Mine. We are advertising this position in anticipation of future requirements and may not have an immediate opening in this area.
We're building a pool of talented individuals who are interested in being considered when the right role becomes available. Carry out unplanned and planned routine maintenance, inspections, and checks to processing equipment. Carry out planned maintenance tasks using standardized work technology to ensure efficiency and quality.
Assist in resolution of electrical / mechanical issues affecting equipment performance and availability. Review and update maintenance schedule plans and equipment history. Transport cable and equipment safely to job locations, and assist in the set up and installation.
Provide trade skills to perform care maintenance tasks within the surface processing areas, to ensure overall reliability and stability. Develop and revise maintenance procedures to continuously improve and standardize maintenance processes. Perform switching and isolation of various types of electrical equipment.

Electrician, Instrumentation & Control Technician, Instrument Engineering Technologist, (essential).
Experience working in a similar role with exposure to maintenance work.
