Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Emergency Medical Technician $29.909 to $36.572

: The EMT will respond to calls for service as per dispatch instructions, providing assessment, treatment and transportation of ill or injured persons. The EMT will cover standby assignment, as operations require. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"

Education

- Primary Care Paramedic diploma (PCP)

Licenses

- Valid Class 4 driver's license
- Registered Paramedic (2011 National Occupational Competency Profile standards)
- Health Care Provider Level C Certificate (HCP-C)
- Basic Life Support Instructor Certificate (BLS)

Other Education and Training

- International Trauma Life Support Certificate (ITLS)

Competencies

Knowledge and Abilities

- Ability to work and communicate in a cross cultural setting

- Davidson is located approximately 114 km south of Saskatoon




- Employer will endeavour to ensure on-call does not exceed 300 hours in 3 weeks
- Must be able to respond to the ambulance within 10 minutes when on-call
- May be eligible for Recruitment and/or Retention Incentives
- Scheduled hours of work may be reduced when a statutory holiday is recognized
