Giffen Consulting Ltd. (Giffen) is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our growing team. This is a hybrid work arrangement with a minimum of 3 days per week in our Vancouver or Toronto office. Working across mining, utilities, and heavy industrial projects, you’ll take ownership of multidisciplinary engineering projects from initiation through close-out while helping shape how we continue to grow as a company.

Maintain and develop strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle, including close-out.

Proactively resolves performance, scope, cost, and schedule issues with the Client as they arise. Ensure projects are managed in accordance with contract terms and conditions. Clearly define project scope and ensure compliance with contract requirements.

Manage change and project interfaces while monitoring performance to identify and mitigate issues early. Oversee all project scope elements, manage design, support procurement, and construction activities to align with the project schedule.



Collaborate with the Project Services Team to establish cost reports, forecasting, approvals, trend identification, and cost‑saving opportunities.

Define project quality requirements. Support develop a project schedule that allows work to be executed efficiently while ensuring compliance with Company policies and procedures. Provide explicit and focused leadership to the project team, creating a vision for success and a strategy to achieve key milestones and objectives.

Continuously monitor communication channels between project staff, the client, and third parties, implementing improvements as needed. Identify project risks and opportunities, ensuring timely resolution and proactive mitigation strategies. Ensure all HSE procedures are followed and that project participants understand and document compliance with safety requirements. 4+ years of progressive experience in a multidisciplinary engineering environment (EPC, EPCM, IPD, etc.). ~ Experience with complex projects values ranging from $500K - $10M. ~ Extensive knowledge relating to the engineering design phase of projects ~ Familiar with greenfield and brownfield mining / heavy industrial projects. ~ Assets but Not Required Project Management Professional (PMP) designation with the Project Management Institute (PMI).
