Nunavut Innovative Health Solutions Inc. (NIHS) isseeking an experienced Corporate Travel Consultant to join our administrativeand operations team. You will be onboarded alongside our current travelcoordinator, who is retiring in January 2027, and will take over fullresponsibility for NIHS travel and accommodation.
This is a specialized corporate travel rolesupporting dental teams travelling throughout Nunavut. The successful candidatewill have significant experience managing complex air travel, be confidentworking independently, and be comfortable responding quickly when weather,airline disruptions, schedule changes, or other circumstances require travelarrangements to be modified.
This position is best suited to an experiencedcorporate travel professional who understands that northern and remote traveloften requires creative problem-solving, careful attention to detail, and theability to manage multiple moving pieces at once.

This is a full-time employee position of 35 hours perweek, worked from home. Core hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Central Time,Monday to Friday, with some flexibility.
Salary range: $62,000–$75,000 annually, depending onexperience and qualifications.
NIHS recognizes that urgent travel disruptions do notalways occur during regular business hours. This role includes a weekendqueue-monitoring rotation and after-hours response to urgent disruptions when travelersare en route. This is compensated separately through an on-call stipend; therotation and the stipend will be set out in the employment agreement.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities The Corporate Travel Consultant will own travel and accommodation for NIHS personnel, including:
- Booking and managing complex domestic and northern air itineraries, including multi-airline connections into remote Nunavut communities.
- Using Galileo / Travelport to book, modify, exchange and manage airline reservations.
- Selecting flights and fare classes based on operational requirements, schedules, baggage requirements, fare conditions and overall value.
- Booking and managing all hotel accommodation, including the northern hotels,
plus ground transportation and other travel arrangements as required.
- Managing flight changes, cancellations, missed connections, weather disruptions and irregular operations, and rebooking travelers efficiently when itineraries are disrupted.
- Monitoring upcoming travel arrangements and identifying potential issues before departure.
- Communicating directly with NIHS staff and healthcare providers regarding itineraries, changes and travel requirements.
- Maintaining accurate travel records, confirmations, receipts, hotel folios and supporting documentation, and assisting with travel-related reporting and reconciliation.
- Working closely with NIHS Operations to coordinate travel with provider schedules and community assignments.
- Documenting NIHS travel procedures so they are clear, current and usable by others on the team.
- Participating in a weekend queue-monitoring rotation and responding to urgent travel disruptions outside regular hours (see Hours & Compensation).
- Other travel-related administrative duties as required.
Knowledge
Qualifications& Experience
We are looking for an experienced corporate travelprofessional; this is not an entry-level position.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum of five (5) years ofcorporate travel experience with substantial GDS work.
- Strong working knowledge ofGalileo / Travelport / TP+; significant GDS experience is required.
- Experience booking complexdomestic and multi-segment itineraries.
- Strong knowledge of airlinefares, ticketing, exchanges, cancellations and fare rules.
- Experience managing disruptedtravel and finding practical alternatives under time pressure.
- Experience with corporate,healthcare, government or remote/northern travel considered a strong asset.
- Excellent organizational skillsand exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize multipleurgent requests at once.
- Strong written and verbalcommunication skills.
- The ability to workindependently, exercise sound judgment and take ownership of travel issuesthrough resolution.
- Must reside in Canada and belegally entitled to work in Canada.
