We are seeking employees with a passion for public service who share our commitment to creating a complete, inclusive and livable community. performing a variety of cleaning and custodial duties at a Community Services facility; routine maintenance and repair of ice making and swimming pool equipment; performing minor plumbing, carpentry and electrical repairs not requiring trade certification; operating and maintaining the building heating system not requiring provincial heating certification; operating Direct Digital Control Systems; monitoring geothermal heat pump and aquatic pool systems; To be considered, applicants must have: completion of the 12th school grade supplemented by related technical courses at a vocational institute,



plus some related experience in building maintenance operation and preferably a Pool Operator’s and/or Refrigeration Operator Certificate OR an equivalent combination of training and experience; and flexible availability; as well as a current BC Class 5 Driver’s License and BC Safety Authority Refrigeration Safety Awareness Certificate.

We are looking for candidates who: will perform building maintenance and cleaning tasks, work collaboratively with team members, has good knowledge of materials, methods and equipment used in swimming pool, refrigeration, ice making operations; possesses good knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, electrical and heating equipment and services; previous work in a recreation facility is preferred.
