Position Summary Adeara is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Facility Maintenance Coordinator to oversee the maintenance and operation of our three facilities. This position is responsible for coordinating repairs, preventive maintenance, contractor services, and facility improvement projects while ensuring a safe, functional, and welcoming workplace for residents, staff, and visitors.
The Facility Maintenance Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for maintenance-related concerns and works closely with staff, contractors,
and service providers to ensure building systems and infrastructure are operating effectively. The role requires a combination of hands-on maintenance work and coordination of external vendors, with working knowledge of carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, fire safety, and key/security systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of facility maintenance, including preventative maintenance, emergency repairs, and property improvements.
- Maintain Adeara facilities through hands-on repairs, contractor coordination, and approved qualified volunteers.
- Serve as the main contact for specialized trades completing work at Adeara properties.
- Participate in the overall planning and implementation of future renovations at Adeara properties.
- Monitor and maintain maintenance logs for Adeara properties.
- Collaborate with various staff to ensure facility repairs have minimal impact on staff, clients and/or volunteers.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3-5 years of facility maintenance, building operations, or related experience.
- Strong working knowledge of building systems and general trade skills (e.g., plumbing, electrical, HVAC), including the ability to use hand and power tools.
- Experience with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, mechanical systems, fire safety systems, and security/access control systems.
- Ability to coordinate contractors and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Working knowledge of the Alberta Building Code is an asset.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with email and basic computer applications.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and be eligible to be insured to drive Adeara vehicles (a clean Driver’s abstract will be required)
- Ability to obtain a Criminal Record Check and Child Intervention Check.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to climb ladders, bend, crouch, and work in confined spaces.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Pay: $27.00-$35.00 per hour Expected hours: 24.0 per week
