Your Role Reporting to the Assistant Director of Finance, the Accounting Technician actively participates in all accounting activities of the company. In addition to managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, the successful candidate contributes to monthly closings, financial statement preparation, account reconciliations, and various financial analyses.

Your Responsibilities

- Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Clerks in their daily tasks;
- Participate in the invoice entry and accounts payable cycle;
- Participate in the billing and accounts receivable cycle;
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements;
- Perform various account reconciliations and account analyses, and explain identified variances;
- Create and generate various management reports and key performance indicators;
- Assist with government filings (GST/QST);
- Participate in projects aimed at improving systems, financial tools,



and accounting processes;
- Participate in or carry out any other related duties as required.

Skills and Qualifications
- Excellent knowledge of the Windows environment and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook);
- Bilingualism in French and English, both spoken and written;
- Knowledge of Business Central, Dynamics NAV, or another ERP system (an asset);
- Strong understanding of the full accounting cycle and accounting principles;
- High level of autonomy in carrying out assigned responsibilities;
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage priorities;
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and precision;
- Excellent interpersonal skills, professionalism, and diplomacy;
- Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills.

Experience and Education
- DEC in Accounting, AEC, university certificate in accounting, or any equivalent combination of education and relevant experience;
- Three (3) to five (5) years of accounting experience;
- Experience with reconciliations, account analysis, and financial reporting.
