The good news? We're looking for a motivated Financial Analyst to join our Accounting & Finance team.

This role will play an active role in month-end financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, financial analysis, and other key finance initiatives.

The Financial

Analyst will work closely with and provide support to the Assistant Controller, Controller, and CFO while gaining exposure to a broad range of accounting and finance activities. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in accounting and finance, excellent analytical skills, is meticulous, and has the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. This role is well suited for someone who is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and interested in developing their financial and business acumen while contributing to the continued improvement of the Finance function.

Financial

Reporting & Analysis Participate in the month-end close and financial reporting process, including the preparation and analysis of financial reports and supporting schedules. Perform monthly variance analysis and investigate significant fluctuations against budget, forecast, and prior periods.



Prepare recurring financial and management reports to support business performance reviews and decision-making.

Perform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as requested by the CFO, Controller, and Assistant Controller. Assist in analyzing financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Support the Finance team with account analysis, reconciliations, and other month-end activities as required.

Work with Finance and other departments to gather, validate, and analyze information used in the budgeting and forecasting process. Audit & Accounting Support Assist with the year-end financial statement audit, including preparing supporting schedules, documentation, and responses to auditor requests. Support the Controller and Assistant Controller with accounting analyses and other financial reporting requirements.

Assist with special projects and other Finance initiatives as required.

Process

Improvement & Systems Identify opportunities to improve financial reporting, analysis, and Finance processes.

Leverage

Excel, financial systems, and emerging technologies to improve efficiency, accuracy, and reporting capabilities. Support the development and automation of recurring reports and analytical tools to reduce manual effort and improve the quality of financial information.



Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Accounting or Finance. ~ CPA designation (or actively pursuing the CPA designation) is an asset. ~2-5 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, financial analysis, or a related finance role. ~ Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements. ~ Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and financial analysis. ~ Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite experience is considered an asset). ~ Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders. ~ Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, month-end close, and year-end audit processes is considered an asset. ~ If you are excited by the opportunity to take ownership, build strong partnerships, and contribute to a team that takes personal responsibility in driving excellence.
