Job Post Details

We are looking to add to our team a sales and builder account representative, preference given to those with experience in the floor covering industry. Position carries a salary plus commission compensation.

Specific Job Details

- Knowledge of all flooring products currently carried with the ability to demonstrate technical understanding of all products.
- Continuously learning about new products through product knowledge meetings and manufacturer seminars.
- Provide estimates to retail clients and builder accounts in a timely manner.
- Assist clients in the showroom with product selections and pricing. Qualify clients to ensure proper products for their specific installation.
- File administration and data entry into RFMS software with all relevant information for projects; including uploading selections, drawings, plans, detailed notes, cut sheets and layouts. Document the job as necessary throughout the process.
- Building quotes in RFMS BidPro
- Communicate with multiple departments as well as installers onsite; troubleshoot problems as required.
- Follow up with clients upon completion of work to ensure they are satisfied with final project.
- Assist with daily showroom maintenance and completing opening/closing duties when scheduled.
- Build a network of referrals to create new sales opportunities. Prospect and grow sales in all areas including custom builders, renovators, insurance, and commercial work.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and associated computer programs.




- Previous experience with RFMS software and asset
- Ability to complete site measures an asset.
- Answer telephones and direct customer inquiries as required. Assist reception when required.
- Independent time management skills

Hours of work

- 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
- 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM Saturdays
- When a Saturday shift is worked it is followed with the Monday off.
- Approx 1 Saturday showroom shift per month for Builder reps
- Alternating Saturday shifts for retail focused sales reps

Compensation

Negotiated salary plus advantages and commission structure, based on skill and experience.

2 weeks’ vacation per year after 3-month probation period.

We have a base of in house and subcontracted installers with long relationships with us. Some stretching 30 or more years.
