We’re building a talented kitchen team with opportunities at every stage of the culinary journey—from developing your foundation as a Second Cook, to taking ownership of a station as a Demi Chef de Partie, to leading a station as a Chef de Partie. We’re looking for a motivated Demi Chef de Partie who is ready to take greater ownership of an assigned station while continuing to develop their technical skills. Working closely with the Chef de Partie and culinary leadership team, you’ll play an important role in delivering a consistent, high-quality service.
Support the Chef de Partie with the day-to-day operation of an assigned front-line station Maintain a thorough understanding of menus, recipes, presentations, and potential food allergens Monitor food quality, consistency, and quantity to established standards Maintain organized stations, service coolers,
and storage areas, including proper labeling, dating, and stock rotation Communicate ordering and station needs with the Sous Chefs Minimize food waste and maintain strong food safety and cleanliness standards Support the broader kitchen team as required High school diploma or equivalent is highly desirable Currently enrolled in a culinary program with a path toward Red Seal certification Minimum two years of recent experience in a hotel or restaurant kitchen at a comparable level, such as apprentice or Second Cook Experience in a high-caliber, high-volume kitchen is preferred Current FoodSafe Level 1 or equivalent recognized food safety certification Ability to work a varied schedule in a fast-paced kitchen WHMIS training and/or Red Seal certification are assets Comprehensive Health and Medical Perks Subsidized housing may be available during the familiarization period or as relocation support for successful candidates moving to the Okanagan.
