Forest Technician Full time, Temporary (with the potential to become permanent full-time) Forsite is actively looking for a Forest Technician with general understanding and experience with British Columbia forestry practices, based out of our Salmon Arm, BC office. The Forest

Technician is responsible for forest development activities including reconnaissance road/cut block engineering,



ecological and riparian assessments, and completing the associated plans, deliverables, and appraisal packages in a safe, timely, cost effective and professional manner. This is a field-based position that has the potential for out of town and camp work. Physically fit and capable of working outdoors in all weather conditions

- Able to work both independently under limited direct supervision as well as in a dynamic team environment
- Post-secondary education with a diploma or degree in a relevant discipline, or 2+ years of related field experience is preferred; however, we are willing to train the right candidate
- Able to work out of town for 5- or 10-day shifts
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal (and technical writing would be great)
