The assistant department manageris responsible forsupervising staff and ensuring the smooth operation of the department’s daily activities, including merchandising, loss/fraud management, standardscomplianceandcustomer service. Theyassistthemanager with management of inventory,purchasing,and the department’s profitability in collaboration with management. Carry out day-to-day management activities within the department in collaboration with the department manager.

Work with cashiers to provide exceptional customer service. Apply policies and procedures,comply withgovernment health guidelines and occupational health and safety standards, and ensure they are consistently applied and adhered to by all department employees.



Organize andparticipatein training sessions and motivate team members.

Manage loss prevention (waste, theft, loss of inventory, breakage) in collaboration with the department manager. You have a high school diploma; a college diploma would be an asset. You have at least two years of years of experience in a retail workplace or in the applicable department.

You have valuable management experience and knowledge of point-of-sale computer systems. Flexible work hours and ability to work overtime Short-term exposure to chemicals and cleaning products
