NET Developer (Remote - Canada) About the Organization At JETNET, we pride ourselves on being an aviation intelligence organization that values Integrity, Quality, Collaboration, and Customer Focus. Our mission is to collect aviation data globally and make it easily accessible, usable, and valuable across every segment in aviation. JETNET's data blending process involves a combination of powerful data ingestion automation, finely tuned algorithms, machine learning, and meticulous human curation.
We work hard, but we also know how to have fun - just ask about our legendary summer Cornhole/Bean Bag Toss competition - it's a thing!! Our Utica, NY corporate office is nestled in a beautiful historic building, providing a unique and inspiring work environment. Build software that powers aviation intelligence.
Use AI to move faster. Own what you ship. NET Developer who wants more than a backlog of tickets. You’ll help design and build the applications and services behind one of the aviation industry’s most trusted intelligence platforms.
You’ll work across the stack, solve real business and technical problems, and have meaningful ownership from understanding a problem through architecture, development, testing, deployment, and support. We’re also embracing the way software development is changing. AI-assisted development is part of how we work, and we’re looking for an engineer who knows how to use tools like Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, or similar platforms to accelerate development without outsourcing their judgment to AI.
You’ll be expected to challenge the output, understand the code, improve it, and stand behind what you ship. Design, develop, deploy, and support full-stack applications and AWS-based services that power JETNET’s core business operations. Work across the full development lifecycle—from understanding requirements and defining the problem to evaluating solutions and shipping production-ready software.
Build clean, maintainable, high-quality code using modern engineering practices and established architectural standards. Use AI coding assistants as part of your development workflow to scope work, explore solutions, accelerate implementation, and iterate toward production-quality results. Investigate complex software issues, get to the root cause, and develop practical solutions rather than temporary fixes.
Work with asynchronous programming, event-driven communication, and background processing pipelines. Create useful technical documentation and system diagrams that make complex systems easier for others to understand and maintain. Collaborate directly with Engineering, Product, IT, Research, partner development teams, and business stakeholders.
Continuously explore new technologies, libraries, development approaches, and AI capabilities that can make our products—and our engineering team—better. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field. ~3+ years of professional development experience with C# and .NET/.NET Core. ~2+ years of experience building modern web applications using Blazor WASM, React, Angular, or similar SPA frameworks. ~ Hands-on experience incorporating AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, or similar tools into your day-to-day development workflow. ~ The engineering judgment to know when AI can accelerate a solution—and when you need to put it aside and solve the problem yourself. ~ A strong habit of reviewing, validating, debugging,
and refactoring AI-generated code rather than accepting output at face value. ~ Experience with SQL databases and ORM frameworks such as EF Core. ~ A strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and clean architecture. ~ Experience with asynchronous programming, event-driven communication, and background processing pipelines. ~ AWS. Python.
