The City of Kenora is seeking an Associate Planner to support planning initiatives under the guidance of the City Planner.
This role requires one to three years of municipal planning experience, focusing on statutory planning and community engagement. Your contributions will ensure land development aligns with community values and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide planning information to staff and the public
- Review and process land development applications
- Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders
- Prepare and sign zoning and building compliance letters
- Conduct research and prepare analysis for policy recommendations
Requirements:
- Post-secondary degree in Urban Planning; Master’s preferred
- 1 to 3 years of municipal planning experience
- Eligibility for Canadian Institute of Planners membership
- Effective communication and analytical skills
- Valid “G” Class Driver’s License required
