Make a lasting impact as a Caregiver Practitioner with the Ministry of Children and Family Services in Stettler. Focus on assessing and supporting caregivers for children in need. This full-time role involves working closely with kinship and foster care caregivers, ensuring they are prepared and licensed for fostering.
You will develop support plans, conduct ongoing evaluations, and manage quality assessments. Relationship building with caregivers, community partners, and Indigenous communities is essential. Key Responsibilities:
- Assess kin and significant relationships for children/youth
- Approve and license foster caregivers
- Train and orient recent caregivers
- Monitor and evaluate caregiver support plans
- Facilitate dispute resolution processes Requirements:
- Bachelor of Social Work with 1 year experience
- Registration with Alberta College of Social Workers
- Strong written documentation skills
- Ability to assess family functioning and risks
- Experience in child intervention services is an asset Drive change and provide essential support in the lives of vulnerable children and their caregivers.
