We are looking for a reliable, highly motivated, and adaptable Medical Office Administrator to join our team in a Full-Time Float position supporting our busy clinics throughout the HRM.
This is a true Float position. The successful candidate must be comfortable rotating between clinic locations based on operational needs and providing coverage where required.

What you will do:
- Welcome patients by greeting and assisting them in a professional and courteous manner.
- Schedule appointments in person and respond to patient inquiries, directing questions appropriately when necessary.
- Ensure patients move through the clinic efficiently and professionally while maintaining a positive patient experience.
- Ensure examination rooms are clean, stocked, and prepared at all times.
- Process incoming test results and ensure they are appropriately routed and filed according to clinic procedures.
- Maintain and file day sheets accurately.
- Perform data entry and administrative duties using MED ACCESS, including scheduling and billing.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality and protect patient privacy and rights at all times.
- Adapt to the workflow and operational needs of different clinic locations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Clinic Directors.
What we are looking for:
- Graduate of a recognized Medical Office Administration/Medical Office Receptionist program or equivalent administrative experience.
- Previous experience working with an EMR system; MED ACCESS experience is considered an asset.
- Previous experience working as a receptionist in a high-volume medical clinic.
- Proven ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time-management, organizational, telephone etiquette, and data-entry skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Professional, patient-focused, and team-oriented approach.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel is considered an asset.
- Excellent attendance, reliability, and flexibility.
- Ability to adapt quickly to different clinic locations, physicians, staff, and workflows.
- Must reside in Nova Scotia.
- Must have reliable access to a vehicle, as this position requires travel between clinic locations throughout HRM.
