Controller | Req ID: 17785| HR Contact: Julie LUONG| Location: Calgary Quarry Park AB The Inventory Controller manages and oversees multi-site inventory reconciliations and valuations to ensure accurate financial reporting and valuation within a SOX / USGAAP framework. Positioned within the finance team, this role requires a CPA designation, manufacturing industry expertise, and SAP / ERP capabilities to maintain robust internal controls and drive process improvements.

Financial Oversight & Reconciliation: Lead and manage inventory reconciliations, physical stock counts, general ledger, and sub-ledgers. Drive the periodic standard costing process and inventory revaluation routines to maintain accurate product costing.

Internal Controls & Audit Compliance: Maintain robust internal controls over inventory, lead month-end closing activities, conduct balance sheet reviews, and support internal/external audit requirements.

Documentation Management: Create and manage a centralized repository for inventory-related documentation (drone surveys, scale calibrations, monthly reconciliations).

Systems

Expertise (SAP): Serve as the finance subject matter expert for inventory-related SAP processes.

Process Improvement: Continuously refine inventory tracking, valuation methodologies and stock management procedures across the manufacturing and network footprint.

Variance Analysis & Reporting: Analyze, report, and provide actionable insights on inventory variances.





Experience in a manufacturing environment along with advanced SAP skills and solid business partnering capabilities.
