Under the general supervision of the HVAC Foreman, the Refrigeration Mechanic installs, inspects, maintains, and repairs Refrigeration and Cooling equipment by analyzing problems, dismantling, adjusting,



replacing and/or repairing components as required in facilities under the Division's jurisdiction in accordance with standard trades practices, certification applicable codes and manufacturers specifications.

As The Refrigeration

Mechanic, You Will Maintain and repair HVAC Systems.

Coordinate

Contractors. Coordinate annual Regulatory Inspections. Perform duties related to safety, working relationships, training, license's, tools and other duties as required. Must possess a Red Seal Journeyman Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic Certificate recognized by the Province of Manitoba.

Must possess a Red Seal Gas Fitter. Must have two (2) years' experience with Commercial and Industrial Refrigeration and Cooling System Installations. Proficiency operating a personal computer using Microsoft Outlook, Excel and word and ability to learn other software.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to coordinate and monitor work performed by contractors in the areas of installation, repair, or maintenance of associated equipment. Applicants submitting foreign credentials require an official academic assessment report issued by a recognized Canadian assessment service at application.

The successful candidate must maintain legal eligibility to work in Canada. If the successful candidate possesses a work permit, it is their responsibility to ensure the permit remains valid. Must possess a Red Seal Journeyman Refrigeration and Air Conditioning certificate recognized by the Province of Manitoba.

Successful completion and maintenance of a Winnipeg Police Service Level 2 Security Clearance satisfactory to the employer will be required from the applicant(s) or successful candidate(s).This position may require a Level 3 security clearance from the Winnipeg Police Service.
