Evertek Consultants is currently recruiting full-time, permanent geotechnical engineers to join our team in Abbotsford, British Columbia. The successful candidates will be responsible for the technical role on a variety of projects.

Key Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

· Coordinate and carry out field geotechnical investigations and geohazard assessments.

· Manage all aspects of geotechnical investigations for buildings, excavation and shoring, retaining walls, slope stability in land development, commercial/residential development and municipal infrastructure projects.

· Coordinate and carry out field review of construction works and materials testing.

· Prepare, write, and review proposals and technical reports.

· Conduct and review geotechnical engineering analysis.

· Manage project schedule and budgets.

· Assist team in developing client relationships.

· Develop technical skills, experience and contribute to a positive team environment

· Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

· Degree in geological engineering, geotechnical, or civil (geotechnical option) engineering (a master's degree would be an asset).

· Sound knowledge of the application of soil mechanics, rock mechanics, geomorphology, engineering geology, and hydrogeology.

· Currently registered or eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with the Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia.

· Diverse, geologically-oriented,



geotechnical engineering experience in Canada (experience in BC considered an asset).

· A high level of proficiency with geotechnical software applications

· Seismic assessment, soil and rock slope stability review and design, retaining wall design, foundation design, pile design, shoring design, and pavement design.

Technical and project management skills.

· Excellent workplace safety practices.

· Excellent oral and written communication (English) skills.

· Valid BC driver's licence.

· Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to deal tactfully and effectively with team-mates.

In addition to technical expertise and competencies, you are enthusiastic, resourceful, organized, and detail-oriented. You demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to communicate effectively and to proactively respond to time-sensitive issues. Excellent computer and technical writing skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced and multi-tasked workplace are essential.
