Duration: 12-Month Contract Our client, a respected non-profit organization, is seeking a cooperative and people-focused Manager, Health, Safety and Wellness to lead programs that enhance employee well-being, workplace safety, and organizational culture. You'll lead the development and continuous improvement of health, safety, wellness, and DEI programs that support a healthy workplace culture. You'll oversee WSIB claims management, return-to-work programs, and absence management while ensuring legislative compliance.
You'll collaborate with leaders across the organization to provide guidance on occupational health and safety, workplace wellness, and employee well-being.
You'll manage the Joint Health and Safety Committee, workplace investigations, audits, reporting, and accreditation activities. You'll analyze organizational trends and develop recommendations that strengthen health, safety, and wellness outcomes. 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience focused on health and safety, workplace wellness, and DEI, with at least 3 years of leadership experience. ~ Strong knowledge of Ontario Health and Safety legislation, WSIB case management, and return-to-work programs. ~ Experience working with HRIS systems, Microsoft 365, and reporting tools to analyze trends and support decision-making. ~ Experience within a non-profit, healthcare, or unionized environment is considered an asset.
