Supporting Alberta & Saskatchewan Operations The Opportunity:

We’re looking for an experienced Health & Safety Coordinator to lead and support Health & Safety across our Alberta and Saskatchewan operations.

This is a hands-on role with responsibility across branches, shops and field service operations. You’ll take ownership of our Health & Safety programs, working directly with employees and leaders to ensure protected work practices are practical, understood and consistently applied across the business.

From safety orientations and inspections to incident investigations, COR requirements and field safety, you’ll be the go-to resource for health and safety across the region.

What You’ll Do:

- Develop, maintain and continuously improve company health and safety programs, policies, procedures and safe work practices.
- Support branches, shops and field teams in maintaining a strong and practical safety culture.
- Lead employee safety orientations, training and ongoing safety education.
- Maintain accurate records of employee training, certifications and the required renewals.
- Conduct regular branch, shop, field and vehicle inspections, identifying hazards and opportunities for improvement.
- Complete and support hazard assessments and ensure appropriate controls are implemented.
- Lead investigations into incidents and near misses, identify contributing factors and track corrective actions through to completion.

- Maintain compliance with applicable Alberta and Saskatchewan occupational health and safety requirements.
- Coordinate and support COR requirements and audit readiness across both provinces.
- Coordinate workplace injury reporting and WCB claims management, including communication, documentation and return-to-work support.
- Support Joint Health and Safety Committees and ensure required meetings, inspections and documentation are completed.
- Work with operational teams to meet customer, contractor and general contractor safety requirements for field and job-site work.
- Maintain safety documentation, records, statistics and reporting.
- Partner with branch and operational leaders to identify trends, reduce risk and continuously strengthen safety practices.
- Travel between branches and job sites throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan as required.

What You Bring:

- 3+ years of health and safety experience, ideally within an industrial, construction, trades, distribution or field service environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Alberta and Saskatchewan OHS legislation and requirements.
- Experience supporting COR programs and audits.
- Experience conducting inspections, hazard assessments and incident investigations.

- Knowledge of WCB claims management and return-to-work processes.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills with the ability to keep multiple locations and requirements on track.
- Comfortable working directly with employees, technicians, supervisors and senior leaders.
- Able to balance regulatory requirements with practical real-world operations.
- Confident working independently and taking ownership of health & safety initiatives across multiple locations.
- Willing and able to travel regularly between branches and field locations.

Bonus points:

- CRSP, NCSO or similar health and safety designation are preferred.
- Experience working with MHSA
- Experience supporting multi-location operations is an asset.
- Experience working around industrial equipment, service technicians, construction sites or field operations is an asset.

Why Join Us? This is an opportunity to have a meaningful impact across a busy, multi-location operation. You won’t be sitting on the sidelines of the business. You’ll be in our branches, shops and field operations, working alongside our teams to identify risks, improve processes and ensure our people have the knowledge and tools they need to work safely.

If you’re a safety professional who enjoys being out in the operation, building relationships and turning safety requirements into practical action, we’d like to hear from you!
