As a Health Care Aide (HCA), you will be a vital part of a multidisciplinary team, providing essential personal assistance to patients needing short or long-term support.
This role involves direct interaction with patients, families, and caregivers, assisting with hygiene, nutrition, mobility, and safety. You will also help nurses with routine care and participate in organized patient activities, all under supervision. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily living activities for patients
- Support organized care activities and recreational programs
- Report on patient mood and wellbeing effectively
- Maintain a safe setting for all individuals
- Collaborate with team members for quality care
Requirements:
- Active registration or permit with CLHA as a Health Care Aide
- Recent acute care experience (6-12 months)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage heavy physical demands
- Current BCLS-HCP certification
