We’re seeking a dependable and safety-focused Shop Supervisor to help lead our shop operations and support a solid, collaborative team environment. Working alongside the Shop Manager, you’ll oversee daily workflow, coordinate maintenance and repairs, assign priorities, and act as the key communication link between shop staff and operational teams. This role is ideal for a certified 310T or 421A technician with proven leadership experience who excels at organization, communication, and maintaining high safety and performance standards.

Work alongside the Shop Manager to assist in delegating, prioritizing, and assigning workload for mechanics and shop staff Oversee and assign minor and major repairs on equipment, including but not limited to trucks, trailers, power-operated equipment and hand tools Communication point for shop personnel and project managers Monitor shop inventory and coordinate the ordering of parts as needed Work with individual vehicle/equipment operators to understand and solve complaints and concerns regarding proper vehicle/equipment maintenance and operation Reinforce compliance with all company policies and procedures: safety standards operations, maintenance, training, cleanliness standards, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) etc Work evenings, weekends,



and extended hours as required to meet operational and project demands Travel to job sites across Northern Ontario, including occasional out-of-town assignments with overnight stays 310T Truck and Coach Certification, 421A Heavy Duty Equipment Technician Certification OR equivalent experience ~ Minimum one (1) year experience in a supervisory or management role, including working in a unionized environment ~ Considered an Asset Experience in the concrete or construction industry Experience in the municipal snow removal industry Successfully passed comprehensive pre-employment third party testing requirements (drug and alcohol testing and a Criminal Background Check (CPIC) and any other requirements they impose on contractors) Leadership skills including understanding delegation, conflict resolution, and motivating the team and building positive relationships with staff Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook) including experience with commercial fleet tracking, Big Roads and Fleet Complete software Ability to adapt to last-minute changes as dictated by the needs of our customers Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service Pay: $38.00 - $44.00 per hour* Extended health, dental, and life insurance Company pension Employee & Family Assistance Program Ongoing training and career development *Equity & Accessibility We strongly believe that world-class talent makes no distinctions based on gender, ethnic or national origin, sexual identity and orientation, age, religion, or disability, but enriches itself through these differences.Pioneer Construction welcomes and encourages applications from people with disabilities.
