VON - At the heart of care. As a Continuing Care Assistant (CCA), you'll use your training to provide person-centred care, support daily living, and help clients stay comfortable and independent in their own homes. You'll travel between clients' homes throughout the day, making every visit matter.

Funding is available through the Department of Health and Wellness for the Recognized Prior Learning (RPL) Program. The CCA-RPL program recognizes knowledge, skills, and attitudes gained through on-the-job training, formal education, and life experiences to be assessed for credit awarded towards CCA program education.
CCA Recognizing Prior Learning (RPL) Program Funding for CCA Programs at community colleges Funding is also available for the Continuing Care Assistant Program at community colleges across Nova Scotia. Please contact your local college for more details. This role requires a detail-oriented approach in a energetic environment, with physical activity including lifting, carrying (using proper techniques), bending, reaching, kneeling, and other movements that emphasize good body mechanics.
